As part of Charles Sturt Universities COVID Safe staged return to campus, and while we still have many staff working from home, those staff on campus need to be aware of their building emergency procedures and to understand that, for a period, they may have limited or no warden coverage or first aid officers present in their building. Hendry, as our partner in Emergency Planning for the University, have developed a webinar presentation to address these issues and ensure that all staff, not only emergency wardens, are adequately familiar with their building emergency procedures and possess the necessary skills and knowledge to enact an appropriate response to any emergency to protect not only their own safety, but the safety of all occupants in a building. The webinars have been well received, with over 120 participants taking part in the sessions. The University has also received positive feedback from attendees in regard to the excellent and informative delivery, resulting in staff now being better able to respond to an emergency and the added bonus of new warden recruitment across all campuses.
